Galactixx, previously known as Galactis, are a Hardstyle-duo consisting of Ralf Smetsers & Freek den Otter. They’re one of those talents that you need to look out for.

What seperates this act from others in this scene is their interaction with the crowd, their choice of tracks and their energy during the performance. They’ve proved this the past years by performing at events like Daydream, Defqon.1, Last World and Intents Festival. Unfortunately not everyone agreed and the bigger they got, the more they stood out. A band from The United States noticed them and filed a complaint because they operate under the same name. This lead to the following statement on Galactixx‘s Facebook page:

“As you might have noticed, our artist name has been changed to ‘Galactixx’. Let us explain why:

Due the fact that there was already an American rockband handling the name ‘Galactic’, we got forced to change our name. Our first release ‘Hold Me’ unfortunately had to be removed from all of the streaming/download portals. Nevertheless, we’re very happy this issue comes at this point of our career.

So from now on WE R is handling the name ‘Galactixx’! We got loads of new music for you, and we hope to see you soon at one of our upcoming gigs!”
