They were just on the rise: playing at some of the most famous festivals and just signed a major contract. Surprisingly now the hardstyle duo Imperatorz decided to go separate ways. The journey of Imperatorz will continue though, but from now on Kevin will walk this path alone.

Only one month after they got signed up at Scantraxx Silver and released ‘Hurricane For My Brain’ as their first track on that label, the Dutch/German DJ combination announced a big change on their socials: Mitchell will no longer be a part of the act. After achieving his main goal playing at the Defqon.1 Indigo stage, he feels like it’s time for new challenges.

Producing music hasn’t been his only interest: in an earlier interview he seemed ambitious and passionate about his main job. He’s been working at the province of South Holland ‘’to get the best out of this world’’. Now career opportunities turned up and apparently that was the time to leave his music career behind.

Will this affect Imperatorz’ style of music?

Now Kevin will be the only face of Imperatorz and we’ll see how this will affect the style of music production. While Mitchell often stated he has ‘’a wide vision about euphoric hardstyle, raw and hardcore’’, Kevin was the part who is known for his preference of ‘’the rough raw sound with demolishing kicks and outstanding screeches’’.

At Onbeschoft Outdoor, Imperatorz will have its next performance. If Kevin will be standing alone behind the decks or if we get to see them as a duo one more time, we’ll see on 7th of September. If you want to show your ongoing support and experience this set, head over to the official ticketpage.
