Ran-D has big plans this year and kicks off the festival season with a huge load of music. Armed with no less than 7 new tracks and an impressive show, tens of thousands of visitors at REBiRTH Festival witnessed the launch of his new album: Illuminate.

Hitmachine Ran-D unpacks on all fronts for Illuminate, in which the light plays a leading role in the music and what the visitors see on the dance floor. Months of preparations in the studio (and beyond) came to fruition for the first time last Saturday: a next level visual experience, with which Ran-D managed to make a huge impression on the audience of a sold-out REBiRTH in the run-up to his second album. “I put my heart and soul into the creation of my Illuminate live act.”

The tone was immediately set when Ran-D started his liveset on the mainstage. On the dancefloor it was very noticeable that a gear was being turned up, because the Roughstate DJ had a packed program for the 45 minutes on the biggest stage. Vocalist LePrince whips up the audience from the start with his energetic voice when ‘Born To Be Free’ (the collab with The Prophet) starts: from here you can clearly see that Ran-D is eager to play many more exclusives.

Illuminate IDs from Ran-D’s new album (so far)

1. Born To Be Free (with The Prophet & LePrince)
2. Braveheart (with B-Front ft. Ava Silver)
3. Illuminate
4. Thunderbolts Of Lightning (Bohemian Rapsody Remix with Adaro)
5. The Nightmare Factory
6. Intoxicated (with Invector)
7. Never Going Home (with Villain)

Illuminate revolves around a journey through Light & Shadow and the colossal LED screens are as otherworldly as the stage. Ran-D and the REBiRTH stage complement each other, especially during the new remix (together with Adaro) of the famous ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and during the interlude when the audience is asked to shine a light.

The cheering even drowns out the music when the visitors are surprised by ‘Dance With The Devil’ (collab with D-Sturb) in a hard new version. Ran-D’s upcoming album guarantees fireworks: a source of light that we can expect a lot from this year.

“Ran-D came to REBiRTH with his new live-act packed with new music from the upcoming album Illuminate”

It should be clear that Ran-D is more than ready for the festival season. When exactly the new album will be released is not yet known: several Illuminate shows are coming up this year. “Are you ready for a journey through lights and shadows?”
