“REBELLiON shows how a 10th anniversary should be celebrated”

Last weekend, REBELLiON was all about “10 Years of RAW”. With three spectacular areas, the event was a great success. The ‘REBORN RAW’ stage also stood out, where the atmosphere reached an early peak thanks to a line-up full of heavyweights and emerging talent.

This year, the festival went all out on all stages for their REBEL REVOLUTION. With this largest edition ever, everything was pulled out of the closet for a spectacular festival day. Unique sets were shown at the REBELLiON stage, such as Mish & Warface LIVE, the anthem set by Dual Damage LIVE and a special ‘REBELLiON X Years Show’ by Adaro. This set took visitors through previous editions of the festival with a large variety of iconic raw numbers, such as ‘Brutal 5.0’, ‘Followed’ and ‘DAS IST KEIN TECHNO’.

The various B2B’s on the mainstage brought an explosive mix of raw beats and powerful drops that brought the audience to ecstasy time and time again. Each B2B had its own unique dynamic, where the collaboration between the artists made the difference and provided surprising moments. The live sets were also of an unprecedented level, D-Sturb with ‘High Power’ lifted the evening to new heights, with his iconic hardstyle sound that set the room on fire. Kruelty with his ‘Bloodbath Machinery’ set was a brutal experience, in which the raw energy of the artist merged perfectly with the energy of the audience.

Fanatical atmosphere at REBORN RAW and the Boiler Room: “Intense, raw and unforgettable”

At the REBORN RAW stage, 14-year-old Miss Isa had the honor of kicking off the party. While the energy was already building, the tent filled up during the following sets of Dark Entities and Sanctuary. The fanatic raw lovers stood close together, fists in the air, and every kick and drop was welcomed with loud cheers. When Unload took over the DJ booth, things really went up a notch. During tracks such as ‘Lost Stars’ and especially the ecstatic ‘Insanity’, the crowd sang along at the top of their lungs, they jump all over the place, and it felt like the ground was shaking. The atmosphere was intense, raw and unforgettable.

The Boiler Room should not be forgotten either: from the moment the talented Classified Records duo Damaxy opened this third area, this dome tent was filled with smiling (and pounding) faces. A great moment for these guys who will probably never forget their REBELLiON debut. The crowd during Revelation was also top notch: they got straight to the point with their REBELLiON tool and managed to get the fists of the audience (in front of and behind them) in the air massively. The Boiler Room turned out to be the place to be for up-and-coming talent.

Back to the REBORN RAW: the hall was closed with a banging uptempo set by Noxiouz vs Satirized, and it was still packed for this last act. The high BPMs and brutal kicks drove the energy to a new high in combination with the excellent light shows. The hall was a seething mass of jumping fans, and fists went up everywhere. With every drop, the intensity only seemed to increase, and the night ended in a breathtaking climax that will stay with everyone for a long time.

With “10 Years of RAW”, REBELLiON showed how an anniversary should be celebrated. From energetic performances to unique collaborations, the festival offered everything raw lovers could wish for. Now that the indoor edition is behind us, it’s time to look ahead to that enormous REBELLiON tent at REBiRTH Festival. Let’s kick-off the festival season.
