Last year, DJ The Prophet announced his retirement. He started producing Hardcore in 1990, founded the Scantraxx label 10 years later and became an important person for many within Hardstyle. His farewell tour From The Hard is now in full swing and the end point is now officially in sight.

DJ The Prophet is having his final moment at The Closing Ceremony of Defqon.1 on Sunday: an annual memorable moment where tens of thousands of enthusiasts close the biggest festival in our scene. A worthy farewell for The Godfather of Hardstyle, but also a great challenge. “I’m going to try to put more than 35 years of music into this set,” he said during The Release. After this year, DJ The Prophet will focus on a new creative career.

“Saying goodbye to something that has been part of my life for so long… This will be my last show on the mainstage of Defqon.1 on Sunday June 25. This means we only have 4 months left before my last show ever…”

DJ The Prophet’s last performance ever is during The Closing Ceremony of Defqon.1 2023

Defqon.1 – Path of The Warrior will take place from Thursday 22 to 25 June 2023 in Biddinghuizen. Because the tickets sold out so quickly last October, Q-dance will release an extra batch of weekend and day tickets from February 25 at 1 p.m. For tickets and more information, visit the official website.
