Last night it was that night again. We know all know who’s the most desired DJ of 2017, because this one was revealed at a sold out Amsterdam ArenA last night. During the annual event at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) the most populair DJ of this moment gets announced and it surely is something to talk about. We are talking about the DJ Mag Top 100 of course, but which dj’s from the harder styles are featured on the list?

Since the festival season started, we almost get blown away by the ‘Vote Now’ campagnes by dj’s who would like to get a high score in the Top 100. Fans are able to vote their 5 favorite artists via the website and the international DJ Mag makes a ranking out of it. Although a lot of EDM artists are parading on this list, we are happily seeing hardstyle and hardcore DJ’s popping up on the ranking as well. And this was also the case for this year.

It implies that the harder styles have grown a lot (internationally) and quite a big deal in the scene of dance music. Not that big as a Martin Garrix though, who was elected as the number one DJ of the world last night for the second time in a row. But still: the highest ranked hardstyle dj is placed on the spot of number 33 and that’s even higher than a couple of well known mainstream artists like Major Lazer and Nicky Romero. Since recently he’s back for good and may call himself the Highest Hard DJ from now on… Check out the rankings of the hard dance dj’s in the Top 100 below!

These hardstyle- and hardcore artists are in the DJ Mag Top 100 of 2017

  • 33. Headhunterz
  • 40. Angerfist
  • 44. Radical Redemption
  • 58. Miss K8
  • 59. Brennan Heart
  • 65. Warface
  • 67. Da Tweekaz

The harder styles of dance music are featured quite well with an amount of seven artists. Headhunterz is ‘like good old times’ on top of the list and also Angerfist proves for several years that hardcore has a hugh impact on the scene. Shortly we will know which dj’s just missed the list as they will reveal the rest of the list until the 150th spot, so stay tuned. Check out the official website for the full DJ Mag Top 100. Curious about the rankings of the hardstyle DJ’s over the last few years? Make sure that you read this article then.
