Travel to Defqon.1
Saturday
On Saturday, Defqon.1 isn’t reachable by public transport. There won’t be any shuttle buses available between surrounding train stations and the festival site.

Friday
Train
A great way to travel to Defqon.1 on Friday is by public transport. Plan your trip on 9292.nl from your home town to train station Dronten. From there, a shuttle bus service will take you to the campsite.

The shuttle buses leave on Friday between 13:00 and 22:00 hours from train station Dronten. The shuttle buses leave on Sunday between 16:00 and 22:00 hours and on Monday between 09:00 and 14:00 hours from the Defqon.1 campsite.

Do you travel to Defqon.1 on Friday by public transport from inside The Netherlands? You can purchase a combined ticket for train and shuttle bus for only €20,-. This is a fixed price, so it’s valid for all train stations inside The Netherlands. You can buy your combined public transport ticket here.

You can also buy a two-way shuttle bus ticket in advance for €8,-. A limited number of shuttle bus tickets will be available in the bus for €10,-. To avoid a fully packed bus, we recommend to order your shuttle bus ticket in advance here: Defqon1.tickets.q-dance.nl.

It’s a 15-minute drive from train station Dronten to the festival site. It’s not recommended to walk from the train station to the festival site.

NS
Valid ticket
If you don’t have an OV-chipkaart, we advise you to buy your ticket in advance in the online E-ticketshop of NS. In this way, you prevent the waiting time in the queue of the ticketmachine at train station Dronten.

Preparing your trip
Plan your trip in advance with the NS journey planner. During the weekend, NS is regularly working on the rail, which may affect your train journey. From ten days before departure the NS journey planner is updated and you can see exactly what this means for your trip. Check right before your departure the NS journey planner for the most up-to-date information. On the go, you plan your trip on m.ns.nl or with the Travelplanner Xtra app.

Organized bus trips
If you are travelling from The Netherlands, you can book a bus ticket at EventTravel.nl. Event Travel organizes buses from more than 300 locations in the Netherlands to the Defqon.1 festival site. This way, Defqon.1 Festival is still very easy to reach for visitors who aren’t able or willing to go by car. The bus will drop you off  and pick you up next to the festival entrance.

Book your bus tickets in the Netherlands via EventTravel.nl. It’s possible to order a separate bus ticket.

Is your boarding location of choice not included in the schedule? When you’re traveling to Defqon.1 Festival with more than 15 people who all want to board at the same place, Event Travel will arrange a pick-up for you!

Booked your own bus?
If you’re organizing a bus trip by yourself, please register your bus at OnlineTicket.nl. You will receive all the information you need a few days before the event. If you register your bus, no parking fee will apply. Unregistered buses will pay €35,- at arrival.

Car
Are you driving to Defqon.1 Weekend Festival by car, then please follow the yellow “Defqon.1” signs. This route is clearly marked from all roads. Please follow instructions given to you by traffic officers, stewards and/or parking area staff.

Parking vouchers
Are you traveling by car to Defqon.1 but you don’t have your parking voucher yet? Make sure to order your parking voucher in advance at Paylogic.

If you order your parking voucher for Friday until Monday online the price will be €15,-. A parking voucher for on site costs €20,-.

If you order your parking voucher for Saturday online the price will be €12,-. A parking voucher for on site costs €15,-. So buy your tickets online and take your advantage!

Leaving and returning to the parking area is possible by showing your camping wristband in combination with your previously purchased/scanned parking voucher.

Kiss & ride
Are you being dropped off and picked up? Please make sure to follow the “Defqon.1” signs first. After following these signs, the ‘Kiss & Ride’ location will be indicated separately. Please don’t agree on a different pickup location after the festival. Some roads may be closed. The ‘Kiss & Ride’ location will be clearly marked from all roads for both drivers and visitors.

Taxi
There will be a taxi stand available at the parking area. This location will be clearly marked for both taxi drivers and visitors. Taxis aren’t allowed at other locations. We strongly advice to arrange a different kind of transportation since finding a taxi after the event might cause problems.

Travel packages
All travel & stay packages are sold out!

Make sure to bring your Defqon.1 entrance tickets, your accommodation vouchers and transfers vouchers. All information regarding the check-in and bus transfer times can be found on your vouchers.

Travel & stay packages do not include a train combi ticket. Buy your ticket at Defqon1.tickets.q-dance.nl.

Weekend Warrior (pick-up)
The “Defqon.1 tent” desk is located in front of the camping entrance. Make sure you pick-up your tent before you enter the campsite. The Defqon.1 tent desk is opened on Friday from 13:00 till 23:00 hours.

Weekend Warrior (pre set-up)
Please walk to the Q-dance Travel desk on camping field 1 to check-in.

Friends camp
Check-in at the Q-dance Travel desk on camping field 1. Only the main booker has to be present at the check-in. The rest of your party crew can arrive later.

Tipi’s / Yurts / Flexotels and Safaritents
Check-in at the Q-dance Travel desk on camping field 1. Don’t forget to bring a cash deposit of €150,- per room/tipi/safaritent or yurt. This amount will be refunded when you check-out.

Cottages & apartments at Landal Waterparc Veluwemeer
Make sure to go to Landal Waterparc Veluwemeer in order to check-in. Don’t forget to pay a deposit of € 250,- for 4 to 6-persons. Accommodations for 8 to 10-persons costs 500,- deposit.

Who’s going to Defqon.1?
Want to know who of your friends are going to Defqon.1? Connect to your Facebook account and see who will join you on your adventure. You can also send an invite to your friends who haven’t joined the Facebook event yet.

Your personal timetable
Go to ”Defqon.1 Home”, check out all the areas and mark your favorite artists with a star. Your favorite artists will automatically appear in the “My Timetable” section. 15 minutes before the DJ starts his set, you’ll receive a notification.

Share your #Defqon1
Show all your friends what kind of Weekend Warrior you are and share your most memorable Defqon.1 moments on social media. Smile and press the button to take a picture, or select one from your library. Choose a frame and you’re ready to go!

LIVE Feed
The LIVE feed showcases all the updates that are posted with the hashtag #Defqon1. Use #Defqon1 in all your social media posts and your update will automatically be added to the list.

ATM’s
There are no ATMs available at the festival site, but you can use your bankcard to pay for tokens, merchandise and at the camping store. However, we do recommend you to bring some cash.

BBQ
Enjoy a nice BBQ with your friends! Use a disposable barbecue and the smallest size gas bottle. Didn’t bring a BBQ? Don’t worry! The camping store has a BBQ section where you can get all the necessary supplies.

Building your tent
Please consult with our camping stewards before setting up your tent. They will help you find the perfect spot. Only tents are allowed at the campsite. You can’t bring a car, camper, caravan or tent trailer. You can use your tent again next year, so don’t forget to take it down and take it home.

Camping store
Whatever you forgot, the Camping Store will help you out! All kinds of accessories are available in all sorts and sizes. It’s located next to the supermarket on camping site 2. You can get tents, tent pegs, ropes, batteries, flashlights and camping furniture here.

CD
Like usual, all harder styles will be brought together on this compilation. The artists who got the honour to mix the CD are Ran-D, Partyraiser, Deetox and Dr. Rude.

Ran-D has exceed all expectations with this years’ anthem “No Guts No Glory”. Hardcore warrior Partyraiser is driven by energy and goes harder than the rest. The followers of RAW Hardstyle are getting a treat by Deetox and will go harder than the rest. Dr. Rude takes care of mix number four which is all about the hard drops sound.

Signing session
Do you want the new Defqon.1 autographed by your favorite artist? Then check the signing session at the merchandise stand on Saturday (at the Saturday entrance/exit). Check the times to score an autograph from your favorite artist below. At this merchandise stand you can also buy the Defqon.1 CD.

Celebrate Safe
During Defqon.1 we celebrate safely. If you have any questions about the use of alcohol or other drugs, you’re welcome for a chat at the Celebrate Safe stand supported by Unity. Unity is an open-minded harm reduction project in the Dutch party scene. Their volunteers are to be found at one at the GOLD between Saturday 11am and 11pm and Sunday from 12AM and 19.45PM. They will be happy to talk to you and share their knowledge. When you’re (or your friend) not feeling well, please go to the EHBO.

Deodorant and perfume
It’s allowed to take spray deodorant and perfume bottles with you to the campsite. Because of safety reasons, you cannot take this with you to the festival site. Rollers or sticks are fine though.

Disabled visitors
Are you, or are you with, a disabled person? We have special equipped showers and toilets available at the campsite. Please check in with our camping stewards to find the best spot for your party. Toilets for disabled visitors are available throughout the entire festival area.

Drugs
Biddinghuizen has a zero- tolerance drugs policy. This means that the Biddinghuizen council is not allowing any forms of soft and/or hard drugs. So you are also not allowed to take weed or hasj with you to the event. For the entrance you can drop your drugs voluntary in the drug boxes, this has no consequences.

First Aid
There are three First Aid stations available. The first one is located near the Q-Café, the second one is located on campingfield 5 and the third is next to the merchandise stand at the BLACK. The First Aid at the Q-café and campingfield 5 are only available for camping visitors. The First Aid at the merchandise stand on the festival ground is only open on Saturday. At Sunday the nearest First Aid is at the Q-Café. Also you can ask the security for help.

Food and drinks
You’re allowed to bring food and drinks when you enter the campsite for the first time. You can bring all the food you want, but there’s a limit to the amount of drinks; a maximum of 4,5 liters per person for soft drinks and drinks that contain less than 14% alcohol. Bottles made out of glass and strong liquors are prohibited. Bringing your food and drinks from the campsite to the festival isn’t allowed.

Free WIFI
We offer visitors of Defqon.1 free WIFI access points at all the food corners. In other words; you are easy to reach the entire day. No more wasted energy by having to look for friends and, most of all, you’ll be able to provide the world with lots of photos through Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.

It’s simple as can be: just register on the network and you’re online. Carefully select your updates for the internet. Q-dance can share your messages on its own media. However, we cannot be held responsible for the possible consequences of placing your updates.

Fun ‘N Games
Weekend Warriors, it’s time to step up your game! During the three-day adrenaline rush at Defqon.1, you have the chance to challenge yourself, your buddies and fellow ravers in all sorts of ways. Some call for twisted creativity, others for mad skills, and there are also features that will test you on your ability to relax. Each one his own talents, right? Here’s what to expect.

Leaving the campsite
You can leave and return to the campsite any time you’d like. You and your belongings will be checked by entrance security each time you enter the campsite. The first time you enter the campsite you can bring your drinks, max 4,5 liters per person. You can bring as much food as you want to.

LIVE radio broadcast
Tune in to Q-dance Radio on 106.2 FM (Netherlands only, 30 km around the festival area) or to
 Radio.q-dance.com and listen to Defqon.1.

LIVE video stream
Q-dance and Beatport join forces to bring you a unique feature: the Defqon.1 video livestream. For the first time in the history of Defqon.1, the festival will be broadcast LIVE.

We are excited to make Defqon.1 available for all the harder styles fans that couldn’t make it this year. So, wherever in the world you find yourself: gather all your friends, install a heavy sound system, tune into Defqon1.com/BeatportLIVE and start a rave in your living room.

Lockers
Lockers are available at the campsite as well as the festival site. Renting a locker on the campsite for three days costs € 18,-. A locker on the campsite for two days costs € 13,-. A locker on the campsite and the festival site for one day costs € 7,-. A deposit of € 5,- will be added for every locker. Campsite lockers can be rented at the info stand and can only be paid for with cash.

If you are staying at the campsite and want to rent a locker at the festival site on Saturday, make sure you get your stuff with you before 11PM. Because after 11PM, it’s only possible to enter the festival site on Sunday at 11AM again.

Lost and found
If you have found something that doesn’t belong to you, please bring it to the nearest info stand. After the festival, all found items are settled by iLost. When your home and you realize that you lost something, go to iLost.nl and search for your lost item. If you found your lost item on the website contact iLost and they will help you further.

Passport / ID
There will be strict age and identity checks at the entrance. Make sure you bring your ID (drivers license, ID-only, passport). The minimum age for visiting Defqon.1 is 18 years. (A copy of your ID is not valid)

Photography / video and audio recording
You’re allowed to bring a digital photo or video camera to Defqon.1 Festival. All types of cameras are allowed. We don’t care how big or professional they are. Please make as many pictures and video clips as you want and don’t forget to share them by using #Defqon1 on the socials.

Do you want to upload a video on YouTube? Keep in mind that the music on your video may be claimed by an organization. The organization has the right to block your video. Do not forget the rules of the other channels.

Unfortunately it’s not allowed to bring a drone with you to Defqon.1. It’s not allowed to fly over the public or near the public. During the show we will have 10+ full HD cameras running to record the shows. We advise you not to film, but enjoy the show! We will make a nice edit for you to never forget!

Pickpockets
It’s possible that pickpockets are active during Defqon.1, so leave as much as valuables at home. Don’t put your belongings in your back pocket or unattended in your tent, but make use of the lockers. Make sure you don’t get distracted from unknown people and be extra alert at busy spots.

Still a victim? Always report theft. For a declaration appointment, call the police; 0900-8844 or come to the police’s declaration stand at the festival site.

Report to the nearest security, they will help you to the nearest reporting station.

Shortcut
Cut off the route to the exit! From the RED you go to the left past the food stands, if you come from the UV you go to the right past the food stands. This shortcut is also displayed on the terrain. For the Saturday visitors we recommend the shortcut to go the fastest to the exit.

The camping visitors can walk straight from the RED towards the afterparty.

Showers
The showers at the campsite are available 24 hours per day. Each time you use a shower, it will cost you one token. The shower house has limited electricity, meaning that you are able to use electricity for a short amount of time.

Medication
You are allowed to bring medication with you but only the maximum daily amount. Thee packaging has to be closed when you enter the festival grounds. You should also bring a doctor’s prescription, that states you need this medication.

Merchandise
Show off your style with the brand new Defqon.1 merchandise. Visit the merchandise stand if you want to buy an original Defqon.1 hoodie, T-shirt or accessory. Don’t wait too long because items might sell out fast.  You can’t pay with tokens at the merchandise stands, but we do accept bankcards and cash.

There are merchandise stands available at the campsite and festival site. The merchandise stands at the festival site are located near the RED and the BLACK. The merchandise stands at the campsite open on Friday and will sell a selection of the collection. The complete Defqon.1 collection is only available at the merchandise stands on the festival site.

The merchandise stand on field 2 at the campsite is open 24/7. The opening hours of the stand on campsite field 5 are limited. Check out the opening hours of the stand on field 5:

Tokens
All consumptions need to be paid for with tokens. Get your tokens at the token desks at the campsite or at the festival site. We do not refund unused tokens.

The authenticity of tokens will be carefully checked. Don’t buy tokens anywhere else except the official selling points, because there is a chance that the tokens are faked. You can’t buy anything with the faked tokens and the faker will get away with your money.

Phone charging stands
Never again an empty cell phone! During Defqon.1 you can charge your phone while partying. It doesn’t get easier than this. You can charge your phone at campingfield 2 and 5 at the merchandise stand at the festival terrain.

How does it work? 
Visit one of the two phone charging stands at the campsite or the festival site. Here you will receive a portable charger that you can take with you to your tent or to the festival. Once your phone is fully charged, you bring the empty charger back to the stand. Charging your phone costs 1 token + 5 tokens deposit.

The merchandise stand at the campingsite is open for 24/7. The merchandise stand at the campingterrain field 5 is limited open. See the times below.

Police Station
There’s a police station near the campsite. You can report theft and burglary at a special post at the police station. This post will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 hours until midnight, and on Monday from 9AM until 1PM.

The Q-Café
Think of it as a blend between a café where ravers lay back to have a beer, a youth club where you can challenge your friends in a table football game, and a hide-out to escape your partner; whatever floats your boat. The 24hrs Q Café welcomes you to the family at any given hour.

Red Bull Bagageservice
Tents, BBQ supplies, food, drinks and bags filled with party clothes. True Defqon.1 weekend adventurers are prepared for everything! Don’t feel like carrying your own heavy luggage? Red Bull’s Luggage Service will offer you the ride you need. The Red Bull trains will be available to bring your stuff near the campsite (till the bridge) so that you can relax before the madness begins.

Supermarket
Visit the supermarket for all kinds of groceries, like drinks, snacks, fresh fruit and breakfast. It’s open 24HRS a day. There is also a smaller supermarket on campingfield 5.

TV Lounge
Does your tentmate’s snoring level keep you from sleeping? We’ve got you covered. Chill out and watch the most bizarre videos at The TV Lounge located at the camping area.

Walibi discount
Defqon.1 Weekend Festival is located next to amusement park Walibi Holland. Are you seeking for more adventure, then you’re in for a treat. 
By showing your camping bracelet at the entrance of Walibi Holland, tickets will only cost €26,- per person instead of the €32,50. This discount is only valid during the Defqon.1 Weekend. 

Do you want to visit Walibi Holland some other time? It’s also possible to get your hands on tickets with a discount via the special Defqon.1 Webshop.

Water bars
Tap water is for everyone! That’s why we will place water bars at the Defqon.1 festival site. At the water bars, you can easily refill your bottles for free. If you don’t have a bottle, you can purchase these Defqon.1 branded bags, which you can attach to your jeans or belts.

Weather
There’s nothing as unpredictable as the weather.
 Make sure you bring enough warm clothes. You can leave your stuff inside a locker during the day. Better safe than sorry! You may take an umbrella, but only a small folding one.

Watch youself and on the other…
A weekend full of party requires more energy than you think. Drink and sleep enough and keep in mind that the evening and nights could be cold. Finally, our motto is “Come together, stay together”, so watch your friends and yourself!
