After his last performance at Qlimax, Headhunterz shared a video of him in his Instagram Story, looking downcast: “I’m a little bit at a difficult place in my life right now, so I’m not really posting any party Stories or anything.” This got followed by a social media post, saying he’s taking some time off to rest and reconnect, so upcoming postings will be published by a team member. Just now, his management announced, Headhunterz cancels his international bookings which were planned for this month.

“Having spent years touring, fighting jet lags and always moving from one destination to the
next, it has come to a point where Willem needs to take some time off. The coming weeks will be spent to rest, recharge and focus on his health. By limiting the stress that is an inevitable part of his professional life, we trust that he gets the space he needs to recover and can once again devote himself to his passion: making music and performing.”

His performances in among others Australia and Germany are cancelled, but Headhunterz will still perform at two events in the Netherlands in December: at The Road To The Dome in the Music Dome and at Orange Heart in Paradiso. For someone who cares so much about the music scene, cancelling must be a though decision. Hard News wishes Willem a good recovery, so he can soon return to his passion.
