YouTube Music Key is Google’s langverwachte muziekstreamingdienst die rondom Youtube is gebouwd. Voor 7,99 dollar (de uiteindelijke prijs wordt 10 dollar) per maand kun je onbeperkt en advertentievrij naar YouTube-muziek luisteren.

YouTube Music Key is de tweede Spotify-concurrent van Google. De internetgigant biedt ook Google Play Muziek aan, een muziekdienst waarmee gebruikers muziek kunnen streamen. Degenen met een abonnement op Play Muziek krijgen ook automatisch een abonnement op YouTube Music Key.

Wat is het?
YouTube Music Key laat gebruikers naar muziekvideo’s kijken zonder dat zij door advertenties worden gestoord. Ook zijn gehele albums via YouTube te beluisteren en kun je afspeellijsten van je favoriete nummers maken.

Een belangrijke feature van de muziekstreamingdienst is dat je muziek offline kunt opslaan, waardoor YouTube Key Music niet enorm veel data hoeft te verbruiken. De streamingdienst werkt niet alleen via de browser, ook de YouTube-app wordt aangepast voor gebruik met YouTube Key Music.

YouTube Music Key is voorlopig alleen beschikbaar voor geselecteerde gebruikers. Europese prijzen van de dienst zijn nog niet door Google bekendgemaakt, maar het is aannemelijk dat de dollarprijzen naar euro’s worden vertaald. YouTube Music Key is the second Spotify-competitor of Google. The internet giant also offers Google Play Music, a service which allows users to stream music. The ones with a subscription to Play Music will automatically get a subscription to YouTube Music Key.

What is it?
YouTube Music Key lets users watch music videos without being bothered by ads. It’s also possible to listen to entire albums through YouTube and be able to make playlists of your favorite tracks.

An important feature of the music streaming service is the ability to save the offline, which allows YouTube Key Music to use much less data. The streaming service doesn’t only work through the browser, but also the YouTube-app will be modified to use it with YouTube Key Music.

For now, YouTube Key Music is only available to a select amount of users. European prizes have not yet been revealed, but it is most likely that the dollar price will be converted into euros.
