Prime Minister Mark Rutte just said in an explanation that the festivals will be canceled again. “We are now doing this because we had to give clarity to festivals and unfortunately it is not responsible for this to continue.” From the moment ‘when it is allowed again’, Decibel outdoor and Mysteryland were on schedule in the Netherlands this sumer, but now no multi-day festivals are allowed until September 1.

Cabinet still pulls the plug on the festival season

Initially, the cabinet did not want to announce whether the major festivals could continue until the second week of August, but it has now decided to provide the organizers with clarity earlier. One-day events and festivals will have to wait until then.
