In a brand new episode of PLAFONDDIENST, Dutch rapper EZG talks about the two worlds he brings together. As the first rapper to be a guest on the Hardstyle Podcast, he gives a sneak peek at the enormous amount of collabs he is working on, including The Purge, N-Vitral & Major Conspiracy and many more.

EZG is a well-known face within the harder styles. In 2016, hardstyle legend Adaro suddenly played a bootleg of his record on Defqon.1, causing the rapper to receive a huge amount of DMs. “My Instagram exploded and I woke up to hundreds of messages,” explains Giuliano Parinussa. This was just the beginning and so he increasingly sought the harder side.

Riots in hell because there is no Hardstyle in heaven

He has now collaborated with Warface, Killshot, DRS and many others – he adapts like a chameleon and performs at various festivals such as Decibel outdoor. “To be accepted in the scene you have to have a passion for hardstyle, otherwise you will be missed.” EZG got in touch with hardstyle when he heard the old records of pioneers such as Coone and Zany and now he also plays hardstyle and harder. “My own shows go in all directions.”

There are many more collabs planned for the near future. The long-awaited ‘Dwars door het Dak’ with N-Vitral & Major Conspiracy will soon be released, as well as a collaboration with The Purge. But how does an Italian DJ arrive at EZG’s Dutch lyrics? “He liked my tracks, even though he can’t fully understand them, haha.”
