Hard News and Hardstyle.com have again joined forces this year for an independent hardstyle election: the Hardstyle Awards. The results from both voting and our data is very clear: Rebelion takes home the award for ‘Best Artist’, just as they did last year.

It was a year full of highlights for the men of Rebelion. The year started with a very successful X-Qlusive event in the AFAS live, followed by The Spotlight of Defqon.1 Weekend Festival and anthems for Shutdown Festival and Supremacy. On top of that, last November there was the long-awaited release of their album The Second Dose. All these highlights have ensured that the Scottish duo can once again place the award of ‘Best Artist’ in their studio this year.

“It’s a bit surreal to win twice awards today,” Raymond says after the Hardstyle Awards Ceremony. “Me and Gary just do what we love to do every day: making music. We try to be creative and push forward. These two awards, means we’re doing something right. These awards for us are motivation to keep moving forward and to keep pushing in 2024. If you’ve been a fan from Rebelion since the beginning, you’ll understand that we’re constantly evolving and keeping things fresh. We’re pushing not only ourselves, but also our music.”

“We will announce something very big soon”

Rebelion not only walked away with the ‘Best Artist’ trophy during the Hardstyle Awards Ceremony. The duo also won the prize for ‘Best Album’, thanks to the album The Second Dose. “We never expected it to be such a hype after the release. We’ve hit nearly 10 million streams after two months, so that’s insane,” says Gary.
