Defqon.1 is officially recognized as best festival of the year 2023

During the Hardstyle Awards Ceremony, organized by Hard News and Hardstyle.com, Defqon.1 Weekend Festival was officially declared the best festival of the year 2023. “I would like to thank the Warriors for this award, they deserve it. This is their award.”

After a successful first edition, Hard News and Hardstyle.com joined forces again for the Hardstyle Awards 2023, the independent competition that rewards the most notable artists, labels and promising talents with a prestigious award. This year, two brand new categories have been added for the first time: ‘Best Outdoor Festival’ and ‘Best Indoor Event’.

Countless Weekend Warriors made themselves heard during the voting period of the Hardstyle Awards. All votes have now been counted, and Defqon.1 Weekend Festival has won the ‘Best Outdoor Event’ prize.

Defqon.1 Weekend Festival was full of highlights this year. For example, Phuture Noize opened the legendary RED stage on Friday, The Spotlight shows by Rebelion and Angerfist were a great success, and Sefa performed for the first time with several of their own shows in the Defqon.1 Theater. The endshow on Saturday and the Defqon.1 legends set on Sunday were also a roaring success – it is therefore not surprising that Defqon.1 walked away with the prize for best festival of the year.
