Jones thinks that there should be more euphoric hardstyle on the mainstages. The Hardstyle Classics artist explains in PLAFONDDIENST – The Hardstyle Podcast that too many forgotten gems from the 2012 to 2016 era are being overlooked, while this would fit perfectly to the biggest stages and even intimate areas. “I am convinced that there is a good audience for this.”

Jones has been playing in hardstyle for almost 20 years and is a familiair face at classics events. Partly due to his performances at Defqon.1, Vroeger Was Alles Beter and many other major parties, fans often praise this DJ for his “perfect tracklists”. Jones indicates that we all should consider a shifts in the usual classics era years. “Think of ‘Accelerate’ by Code Black & Atmozfears for example: we should really push the boundaries more often,” says Jones on the couch at PLAFONDDIENST.

“There are so many good Euphoric Hardstyle tracks: these are never played anymore, but are perfect for a mainstage or intimate setting”

On Scantraxx presents: Alchemy Of Sound among others, Jones returns to the past and the hits from only a few years ago. See Scantraxx Rootz presented by Jones as an extension of the classics, but with the same excellent atmosphere. “A block with only Scantraxx classics. Including all sublabels Italian Hardstyle, Scantraxx Reloaded, Evolutionz and so on. Building from old to newer.

In the Hardstyle Podcast, Jones talks extensively about his long career and his view of the future. Because just like POWER HOUR breaks the day on the Defqon.1 RED, this DJ is in favor of more special sets that blast out forgotten records for an hour. “You have to think of the audience that would like a party between new and classics: the records from 2014 are now also 10 years old.” Hardcore also has different segments: from early all the way up to millennium and classics.
