Yesterday, Orphan announced he is putting a stop to his musical career via an elaborate Facebook-post. The hardstyle DJ was struggling too hard in this music industry, in which the maintaining of your social media plays a big part.

He announced this via the post down below. Over the past months, there have been a lot of DJ’s leaving hardstyle: Cyber stopped performing, Freek left Galactixx and Jos left Bass Chaserz. Demis is the next addition to this list, among other reasons because he is experiencing a lot of stress in the industry.

”I’m 36 now, having a lovely wife, having 3 beautiful kids and this level of the music industry I’m having to deal with now is not what makes me happy. I hate the social media game around it, these days it’s more important to be a fucking clown on your socials or to post shit which has nothing to do with being a musician. I’ve tried but this just doesn’t fit me anymore.”

”I hope my music reached your hearts”

So this is the end of Orphan’s musical career. His last performance is scheduled for Epic Hard! XL on the 18th January. We wish Demis the best for the future.
